Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk
About 90 minutes north of Brisbane
Have we got a breathtaking experience for you! Whether you want to take shorter walks or you are looking for a full on immersive nature experience, you can find yourself in a lush rainforest trekking along ancient pathways walking and exploring the Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk. You’ll encounter stunning waterfalls, dramatic gorges, and tranquil rock pools. The diverse plant life, ranging from subtropical rainforest to eucalypt forest, is protected within three national parks: Kondalilla, Mapleton Falls, and Mapleton.
This rich habitat supports over 100 bird species, 70 reptile species, and 30 frog species. As you explore this beautiful landscape, remember to tread lightly and leave only footprints.
- The complete walk is 58.8km
- If you want to walk the entire track it is a four day walk
- There are three bush camp sites
- Day visitors can access half-day and full-day walks within the Great Walk route.
