Montville is for everyone! Our accommodation is as diverse as our visitors. We have chosen an itinerary for a family. You can choose to be perched along an escarpment with epic views or nestled in a secluded rainforest sanctuary, or in between. You can make your stay an adventure or you can simply enjoy having your head in the clouds.
Montville lies in the heart of the scenic Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Kondalilla National Park is our luxuriant sanctuary. Feeling active? There are extensive walking tracks to explore from short circuits to treks beyond incorporating overnight camps along the 58km Great Walk. Feeling the need to just be? Lose yourself in our hidden spaces.
DAY 1
Montville Main Street and nearby treats
Make your start to your holiday memorable. Breathe in the fresh air and magic views from The Edge Restaurant Montville.

Enjoy the country roads adventure as you continue your scenic drive to Yandina to visit the Ginger Factory, don’t miss the factory tour; the train. Dine at the Ginger Factory or head for the Spirit House for an exceptional foodie feast. Driving back to your hilltop haven, stop in at the Big Pineapple and indulge your wild side. Visit Wildlife HQ or for full on adrenalin adventure, have fun on the Treetop Challenge.

View the breathtaking view of the Glasshouse Mountains ; take a refreshing stroll in the rainforest with the locals. Walk quietly to catch the pademelons at play. The birdlife is abundant and the birdwing butterflies too! Another option is the nearby Maleny Birdworld and Botanic Gardens.
Travel then to King Ludwigs for a lunch with a view!
Head back for an afternoon drive along the Blackall Range Scenic Drive to Mapleton for an immersive indigenous experience at Triballink. Join the bush tucker walk and connect with our ancient past as you listen to dreamtime stories and the didgeridoo.

DAY 4
A day to immerse yourself in the rainforest and the rock pools
Start your day with a hamper in your treehouse or an early morning 30 minute drive down to the coast, a walk on the beach at sunrise.
Take in the local walks from either Secrets on the Lake/Kondalilla Eco Resort: Lake Baroon is the entry to the Great Walks perfect for walking trails to Kondalilla Falls, have a swim in the rock pools and check out the Baxter Creek suspension bridge.
Indulge in a High Tea at the nearby Barn on Flaxton or be tempted by wine tasting and a paddock to plate lunch at nearby Flame Hill Vineyard. Meet the local free ranging girls. Don’t worry, they’re not on the menu!
Spend an idyllic afternoon relaxing or canoeing on the lake or walk down to the Kondalilla Eco Resort natural mineral pools for a refreshing dip.
Head to a great family favourite, the Montville Bar and Grill or fire up the barbeque on your private verandah. Watch the sunset over the lake and soak up the serenity of a dark sky night.
